TV-Y
TV-Y is pretty much shows approbate for all ages but tends to be aimed the younger children around
the age 2-6 as TV-Y has nothing that can be seen as offensive in it
TV-Y7
TV-Y7 is shows aimed at 7 and older. FCC states "may be more appropriate for children who have acquired the developmental skills needed to distinguish between make-believe and reality." pretty much meaning that TV-Y7 can be more violent than TV-Y but there are limits on what kinds of violence shown
TV-G
TV-G is well for all ages in general thats what the 'G' in TV-G stands for, TV-G doesn't aim towards any one age in particular mostly being family shows. Due to it being aimed to all ages it will contain little to none offensive content
TV-PG
TV-PG are shows that may be seen as unstable for child , this content is might be sexual content, suggestive dialogue and/or violence.
TV-14
TV-14 are shows that may be seen as unsubtle for children under the age of 14. The FCC warns that "Parents are cautioned to exercise some care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended"TV-MA
TV-Ma is not suitable for anyone under the age of 17 as the shows rating commonly include strong and frequent sexual content, extreme violence, or both.
