Walk And Run Cycles The walk and run cycles are made up of 4 key poses which are Contact, Down, Pass pos and the up with up being the highest keyframe and down being the lowest in-between frames to make the animation more smooth. Walk Cycle The walk cycle at no points has both feet off the ground Some video references of walk cycles: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq9A5FD8G5w , www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8Veye-N0A4 Run Cycle The run cycle has less in between frames than the walk cycle as to give the illusion of going faster Some video references of run cycles: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCpotGr0TB4 , www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBxvCYBcOH4
I'm planning on making only using to backgrounds and manipulating (like zooming in on parts or scrolling it) to give a sense of movement without the need to animate much as well as giving you a sense of space The first part will start from a top of a volcano scrolling down into a woods In the woods you will see a scissor bird swoop in and land on a rock make a loud chirp gaining the attention of the natural enemy of all scissor birds, the hand squid. the bird unaware of the squid is flattened and dragged into the water leaving only its head. To create the effect of the hand squid coming out of the water I will cut the bottom of the pond and put it on the highest layer of the animation making it so everything behind the layer can't be seen till it reaches a certain point. going to use photoshop as a tool to make parts of the characters move it over to adobe animate and move the different parts to create the illusion of the differ...
Photoshop - VS - Animate!! Keys (+) = The good stuff (-) = The bad stuff Animate +You can use tweens (this fills in the gap between two keyframes making your animation smooth without making dozens of frames) +The UI is easy to use as you can rearrange every tool +The brush tool. The brush automatically comes with stabilizer at the mount I like meaning that I didn't spend like an hour tweaking the brush setting up the brush tool. +I have a past with the software as I started using it back when it was Flash -Although the brush came with stabilizer, drawing stuff was a pain (I mean I couldn't even draw a circle right) -This was mostly a user error but the asset library got really messy making it so I could just about find the object I needed Photoshop +Although it was hard to draw with it was a lot easier to draw on photoshop than adobe animate. +The Layers turned out helpful in making parts for the chara...
