Photoshop Vs Animated 「Procrastinated /Unit 13」

Image
Photoshop - VS - Animate!! Keys (+) = The good stuff (-) =  The bad stuff Animate +You can use tweens (this fills in the gap between two keyframes making your animation smooth without making dozens of frames) +The UI is easy to use as you can rearrange every tool +The brush tool. The brush automatically comes with stabilizer at the mount I like meaning that I didn't spend like an hour tweaking the brush setting up the brush tool. +I have a past with the software as I started using it back when it was Flash -Although the brush came with stabilizer, drawing stuff was a pain (I mean I couldn't even draw a circle right) -This was mostly a user error but the asset library got really messy making it so I could just about find the object I needed Photoshop +Although it was hard to draw with it was a lot easier to draw on photoshop than adobe animate. +The Layers turned out helpful in making parts for the characters for the animation as the last

Exhibition 「late/Unit 13」(Updated)

Posters The posters for the exhibition are meant to be A2 but mine turned out A3 in the end cause I asked for my poster to be printed in college as  didn't have the money to buy a poster from an external source but forgot to ask for the poster to be in A2 There was no planning the poster as the exhibition stuff was last minute stuff. The poster used already made assets from the animation as it saved time and I was being a tad bit lazy the day I was told about the poster. The animation My animation was done on time, however, the size of the animation was too small for the screen that was going to be on display for the exhibition but it turns out that it was an easy problem as you can change the size of the animation. Setting up the Exhibition The first set of setting up the exhibition was cleaning the area up this meant, painting the walls white and cleaning the floor. This was planned for the half term but it was later mo

Sense of Space and other Random stuff「Late/Unit 13」

I went to a pop exhibition called Sence of Space on the, there were 4 rooms that were meant to mess with your sense of space, however, there was on;y one room that really did that for me which was the Infinity garden. Before the exhibition On the way to the exhibition, I got lost as my Mom phone GPS was going mad so we had to look with our eyes causing us to find these stairs that when looked at the right way looked like a wall that had graffiti on it. Turns out this was meant to promote the Sence of Space exhibition. The Doodle room The first room you enter was the doodle room, it's a room where everything was doodled on by Mr. Doodle from the floor the chair, the counter if it was in the room it was doodled on. I skipped this room unknowing that it was a room and not just an entrance into the rest of the rooms until I had to look up the names of the room. Infinity Garden The Infinity garden was part of a Japanese style garden that had mirror walls making it look like the

The Final Evaluation「Unit 13」

At the end of this course I feel like I half answered the question for the course as I had made a short surreal animation, however, I feel like I didn't explore surrealism as much as I want as I only had looked at four secondary sources and one primary. Although I had little research source I became really inspired by them with René Magritte's use of using everyday objects to make environments being a large part of the project as the whole story is based on it. At first, the research had given me a basic idea of what I wanted to do for the project but besides that, I had pretty much winged the whole thing from the characters to the art style. I realized that I started to wing it when it was pointed causing me to try to use the research more and I would have to say it only changed what the animation looked like. My original plan for the animation was to make a stop-motion mixed with hand-drawn animation as I saw that most of the people I had research had used two styles tha

Pupets and ideas for the background ideas 「Late/Unit 13」

I'm planning on making only using to backgrounds and manipulating (like zooming in on parts or scrolling it) to give a sense of movement without the need to animate much as well as giving you a sense of space The first part will start from a top of a volcano scrolling down into a woods  In the woods you will see a scissor bird swoop in and land on a rock make a loud chirp gaining the attention of the natural enemy of all scissor birds, the hand squid. the bird unaware of the squid is flattened and dragged into the water leaving only its head. To create the effect of the hand squid coming out of the water I will cut the bottom of the pond and put it on the highest layer of the animation making it so everything behind the layer can't be seen till it reaches a certain point. going to use photoshop as a tool to make parts of the characters move it over to adobe animate and move the different parts to create the illusion of the different parts are one making it so I won
